Fruiting Manzanillo Olive Tree

The self-fruiting Manzanillo Olive Tree is a broadleaf evergreen tree that is known to be very low maintenance and is one of the most desirable trees for hot, dry climates. It produces seasonal white summer blossoms and flavorful olives that are perfect for curing and olive oil production. This is a self-sufficient tree, but it will produce even more tasty olives with a companion tree nearby. 

Zones: The Manzanillo Olive thrives best in USDA zones 8 – 10

Care: Newly planted olive trees will require more water to establish but will only require occasional watering thereafter. They require water more frequently in extreme heat or containers and should be planted in well-drained, nutrient poor soil. Soil recommendations include: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils.
