Mediterranean Fan Palm

The Mediterranean Fan Palm is a beautiful and hardy palm variety that works well in many landscapes.

This distinctive and compact palm will tolerate desert or seacoast conditions, inhospitable soils and strong winds. With broad green to blue green fronds growing in clusters, they mature to 20’ wide and tall over many years’ time. 

The Mediterranean Fan Palm can do well in full sun or partial shade and requires only medium water in Sunset Western Garden zones 4-24. They are excellent by pools, and make a strong protective hedge if planted side by side.

Add decorative up-lighting and mulch or groundcover and these palms will make a lasting impression in your backyard!
