In its most preferred environment of foggy mornings and cold nights, it will attain up to 50 feet over many years. Spongy red brown bark bears flat leaves on horizontal branches.
Sequoias look amazing grouped in groves and even make a nice hedge given ample room. They love regular moisture and are good candidates for lawn use.
It thrives in full sun or partial shade and likes to soak in the early morning dew. If you live in an area that doesn’t have early morning fog, you can install misting tubes within the tree canopy and set them on a timer to go on in the early morning for several hours to mimic their native environment.
